Qualifications & Skills:

Finance, Economics or Business Administration Degree at a Spanish University or Administration or Finance Studies at a Spanish School.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
High English level, written and spoken.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
Hands-on experience with Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software will be valued.
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
Organization skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

Additional Considerations:

Be able to be part of the internship program with a University or a School (Formación Profesional).
Must embody The Ocean Race values: Care, Trust & Excellence
Must live in or be able to relocate to Alicante, Spain.
EU national or ability to obtain necessary EU working permits.
Availability to start ASAP.

¿Qué conocimientos aplicarás a lo largo de esta práctica?

As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and participate in various responsibilities within the Finance department.
The main focus will be on accountancy, with occasional exposure to the budget area.
The Accounting Intern will perform daily accounting tasks and provide support to our Finance Department reporting to the Senior Accountant and to the Accountant.

¿Qué aprenderás tras realizar esta práctica?

Accountancy

Manage daily accounting tasks and data entry using accounting software.
Support payments and reconciliations for both suppliers and clients.
Assist with daily banking operations, cash flow, and petty cash management.
Support tax-related duties, including filing forms and customs documentation.
Help improve and update accounting tools and systems.


Other Finance Tasks

Contribute to the implementation of internal policies and help reinforce a cost-control mindset.
Assist with the financial integration and oversight of Pre-Race and Race period activities, including employee expenses, financial procedures, per diem calculations, transfers, and petty cash management in ports.
Support the preparation of internal financial and budget reports.
Help ensure compliance with The Ocean Race''s financial guidelines, reporting requirements, and internal procedures.

General Support & Event Contribution

Assist colleagues in the production and success of The Ocean Race event (hospitality, events...).
Contribute to sustainability initiatives, reflecting The Ocean Race´s commitment to ocean conservation.

Lugar:  Muelle 10 de Levante, Puerto de Alicante, 03001 Alicante 

Tipo:  Presencial

Fecha inicio: inmediata  (Al inicio de la práctica no puedes tener el 100% de los créditos, y debes tener matrícula vigente curso 24/25)

Fecha fin:  a convenir (siempre y cuando no hayas obtenido el 100% de los créditos)

Horario/horas semanales:  a convenir

Perfil:

Estudiantes UA:

• Grado: que hayan superado el 50% de los créditos de su Grado en Economía, Administración de Empresas
• Máster Oficial o título propio UA: matrícula en un Máster Oficial o título propio de la Universidad de Alicante, cuya área de conocimiento sea similar al grado demandado.

  • Si desea modificar/actualizar datos curso 24/25: Acceder a su Ficha de Inscripción
    • NOTA: no podrá optar a la oferta estudiantes que hayan obtenido el 100% de los créditos requeridos en su titulación.

Cursos/formación: Experiencia práctica con Excel.

Idiomas: Alto nivel de inglés, escrito y hablado.

Informática: Se valorará el conocimiento de software contable.
